Drained, blessed, grateful, and amazed—these were the rush of feelings a little over a year ago when I was awaiting a flight, which I wrote about here. I followed that up with another here. Well, I am in the airport again, awaiting another flight, and it is another big moment, like before, but I am not alone now!
I have taken more flights for my studies in the past two years than the previous ten years. It has been exhausting at times and extremely difficult to be away from my family. My wife is with me this time, and it is not for school. The short of it is that it seems the Lord is leading us elsewhere, and the “elsewhere,” in this case, happens to be Maine! (I know. Maine. Yes, I have lived in Florida my whole life. Yes, I know it is much, much colder there.)
There’s no place like home. That’s a weird feeling when it seems the Lord is leading you to a new one. We would not be taking this trip if it was not something the Lord seems to be doing, and there has been much encouragement along the way, even though it seems to have happened so quickly. It is not easy. It is scary at times. But we are trusting the Lord with the process and have seen his hand in it all.
As many of you who read this are friends, I want to say that we have greatly appreciated your prayers in this season. And for others reading, we would appreciate your prayers as well!
I will share more about this adventure over the next few weeks or months as things unfold and become more clear. It is an adventure, indeed, and it is good not to be on this adventure alone.
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got. For now.
Coram Deo
Praying for your safety while you’re there and your safe return home. May He also bless your time together there with clarity and wisdom. Much love, in Christ.💞
